Farmer Jim’s Organic Advice: Crop Rotation

Over the next few months we would like to share some videos with you from Farmer Jim, the head farmer at Cascadian Farm. Each video will focus on a different organic farming topic. We hope that these videos will give you a better understanding about how organic farming works. And for those of you that do your own organic farming and/or gardening at home, these videos should be even more beneficial for you.

This week Jim sheds some light on why it’s important to rotate your crops each season. If you have any other questions, leave them in the comment box below. Thanks and enjoy!

Hi, I would really appreciate some tips on growing vegetables (salad peppers, tomatoes, string beans, cucumbers, etc) in a container. We live in sunny Fl., but are renting a home and don't want to disturb the ground. I tried growing tomatoes last year, but they did not do well. Thanks in advance.

It seems like they care abut their product and perserving the intergrity of "organic." It refreshing that there are companies out their that care about what they are producing to the population. It is wise to rotate crops, I now understand why and am very glad they do so.
