We haven't done a Whiteboard Wednesday post in a while, and with the mercury rising, we wanted to bring back a couple dry-erase masterpieces from Don.  We don't know about you, but these make us happy to be on the warm end of winter!

Springtime in the Skagit

We hope you're having a wonderful week. It's just about time to start plating our crops in the Skagit Valley, and your gardens wherever you are!

Valentine's Day is on Sunday! Last week you saw Don's Strawberry Valentine, but this time Don had some fun with the Small Planet Foods logo:

Don took the logo, and made it really SWEET!

So what are you going to do for your Valentine? Share with us. We'll keep it a secret!

Last week we showed you the Small Planet Foods office's Valentine's Feast. This week we have another Valentine delight.

Only Don could take dry erase marketers and steal our hearts with his strawberry sweetness.

What are you going to do for your Valentine? Have another look at Jennie's Green Valentine Gift Ideas from last week!

This week we're taking a break from our White-board Wednesday posts (next week we've got a LOVEly one Whiteboard Mural for you :). Don Smith took this gem of a picture and we wanted to share it with you. Look at the smörgåsbord of sweets and hearts for the Small Planet Foods Sweetheart Valentine's Feast last year!

Have you ever done any sweet-heart cooking for your Valentine? Do share your pictures with us so we can have ideas for our own sweethearts!

For a couple months now, we've been showing off some of Don Smith's Whiteboard Murals. Here are all of Don's dry-erase masterpieces thus far:

You're comments have been great and we love sharing these fun sketches with you. But we want you to share your art with us too!

Have any of you tried your hand at whiteboard art? If you don't have a whiteboard, how about a chalkboard? How about MS Paint (tee-hee)? If not you, how about your kids' artwork?

If you have sketches, drawings, paintings about food, farming & gardening, or taking care of our planet - please share them with us! Post them as photos on our Facebook Wall (psst - if you tag yourself all your friends can see it too :) so that we can see them too!

There seems to be one word that creeps its way into so many conversations this time of year: playoffs. Depending on how you like to spend your Sunday afternoons - this may or may not be an exciting (and nail-biting) few weeks - especially if your team is still in the mix.

Some of us in the Small Planet Foods office are more fervent football fans than others, but back in 2006 when our beloved Seattle Seahawks made it to the Superbowl, we all caught a little bit of football fever! Don turned our whiteboard into an all out 'Hawks cheering station before the big game.

Sadly, the Seahawks were defeated by Pittsburgh that year, and they're not in the mix for this season's playoffs.

Is your team still in the running for this year's Superbowl?

With the new year upon us, Don got out the dry-erase markers (see them laying there along the bottom?) and created yet another whiteboard mural masterpiece.

We hope 2010 is a year to win for all of you too!

President Obama has been all over the news this week, from an interview with Charlie Rose about what's happening overseas, to an Oprah special where we all learned that the first dog Bo has his own Christmas stocking!

All this buzz reminded us of last year when Don took to the whiteboards during President Obama's inauguration ceremony:

Bo wasn't around, and didn't make it into the mural. We'll have more whiteboard murals to share with you in 2010!

As much of the country is digging out of snowstorms today, Don has a whiteboard mural that reminds of warmer seasons. For those of us in colder climates, we can remember that winter is only temperary, and soon enough the snow will melt away.

Next week we'll have some fun tips on winter activities with your family. Until then, think of blooming tulips, springtime, and warmer weather on the way!

Ok...there's no whiteboard in this edition of Whiteboard Wednesday. Sorry! But sometimes Don puts down his dry erase markers and his paintbrush, and makes art with other mediums: food!

Check out the "Rainbow Feast" from a recent gathering at the Small Planet Foods office:
